trickyStoop Releases 2024 Anniversary Compilation
A compilation of labelmates covering labelmates to celebrate our 3rd anniversary.
It's trickyStoop's 3rd anniversary! We dropped a compilation of stoop-members covering each others' songs. Cassette tapes for the album will be made too, arriving by the end of 2024. Check it out:
All 13 tracks have been lovingly prepared by trickyStoop artists. chocofriendz covering June LaLonde, Friend Hell covering mammalfriend, This Is The Glasshouse covering NOISE ARTIFACT, and many more.
You'll notice some of the early songs in the album are originally written by artists who later appear on the album.
The album opens with Bucky!'s killer punk cover of "Convoy" by Furry Loser, with the following song is Furry Loser's sunny-sounding cover of "Boy" by Scuttlefuzz. There are pairings like this all over the album, and I encourage folks to try and spot the connections!
If you click on a song for more info, the description lists who originally performed each song. This ranges from recent stoop members (like Pent Up Pup and Baltyk) to OGs (like chocofriendz and Furry Loser).
As of writing this, I, Ember, would like to give a hearty thank you to everyone who contributed to the compilation. And a major thanks to Will for organizing the project! It's so satisfying to see a project like this come to fruition. I have such a close relationship to these songs from tracklisting them, and my heart is bursting knowing they're finally released to the world.
